Welcome to Trellis.

We are a full-service literary agency formed in the fall of 2021 by agents Michelle Brower, Stephanie Delman, and Allison Hunter.

A trellis is an interwoven structure that supports new growth, allowing it to bloom. After more than a decade enjoying each other’s camaraderie in the publishing industry, we’ve joined forces to create a company with that ethos: an agency that enables and nourishes the growth of both our authors and our colleagues. We’re inherently collaborative, community-minded, and united in our ideas about client care and the future of publishing.

In addition to the three founding partners, our team includes foreign rights director Allison Malecha, who also became an equity partner in 2026, agents Amy Bishop-Wycisk, Nicole Cunningham, Allison Devereux, Natalie Edwards, Danya Kukafka, Alyssa Morris, Dana Murphy, Elizabeth Pratt, and Mariah Stovall, subsidiary rights manager Tori Clayton, and assistant Diana Campbell. We work with exemplary co-agents in the foreign, film, and television spaces, ensuring that our clients’ work reaches the widest possible audience.

Our clients include New York Times and international bestsellers; winners of the National Book Award, the Whiting Award, and the Edgar Award; finalists for the National Book Critics Circle, PEN Awards, National Magazine Award, and more. Our clients’ books have been chosen for the Good Morning America Book Club, Oprah’s Book Club, Reese’s Book Club, Read With Jenna, and more; and have been adapted for film and television, including Margo’s Got Money Troubles by Rufi Thorpe (now a series on Apple TV), Tell Me Lies by Carola Lovering (now a series on Hulu) and The Other Black Girl by Zakiya Dalila Harris (also a series on Hulu), with many others in development.

Our interests range from literary to commercial to genre-bending fiction, from narrative to pop culture nonfiction and everything in between. Please read our bios and our submissions policies before you send us your work. We hope you’ll also peruse our bookshelves.

We’re so glad you’re here, and we look forward to
hearing from you.
